Today marks a milestone that still feels unreal: 10 years of oldschool.tools.
This project started on June 15th, 2015 with no roadmap or goals, just a calculator or two for my own use. All the other sites at the time were still focused on RS3 calculators. I worked on the project in the evenings until I thought it was good enough and maybe a few people would use it - and I launched it on January 6th, 2016 after 6 months of work.
Since then, the project has:
To everyone who has used the site, sent feedback, reported bugs, shared it with friends, requested features, or even just bookmarked it: thank you. I'm honestly so grateful that my hobby project has been useful enough that people have continued using it for 10 years. You might just be using a tool on a random website, but for me it means a ton to have people appreciate my work.
I’m incredibly proud of what oldschool.tools has become - but I’m even more excited about what’s coming next. Dozens of new features, new calculators, accounts for saving your favorite setups, and more tools to help you play more efficiently. A mobile app, and a new OSRS project launching publicly within the next few months. Watch for that right here in our news posts.
So after a decade, a third of my life so far, I just wanted to say thank you to everyone.
